Jonathan and I just found out that our UK visas were issued on Friday and should arrive by courier any day now. With this official piece in place I feel like I can breathe and really start dreaming about our time in England and the things we’d like to do and places we’d like to explore while we’re there. Of course, we plan on traveling about England and Europe (it will be tough to choose which countries), but there will also be daily excursions around our neighbourhood and greater London.
To start off my archive of hopeful places to visit, I recently read about The School of Life in Uppercase Magazine. The School of Life is located in West Central London and is both a shop and place where you can take in lectures about different topics pertaining to life. For example, Terry Eagleton will give a talk on “evil” on September 19th. What better way to kick off the school year than by attending a lecture by one of the most influential literary theorists and critics of our time?
